BDO Auckland Executive appointment

BDO Auckland has appointed Matt McQueen as Financial Services Audit & Assurance Partner following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

BDO is the fifth largest accountancy and advisory network in the world and one of New Zealand’s leading chartered accountancy firms. BDO in New Zealand has an independent network of 21 locations, over 125 Partners and more than 1,200 staff.

Matt brings a tenured career with PwC where he spent the last 19 years across New Zealand and the UK. A dedicated financial services assurance specialist, he has worked with many of New Zealand’s leading retail banks, listed property entities and wealth management firms. As a licenced auditor Matt brings deep experience in FMC audits, controls assurance, and regulatory assurance including climate statement assurance.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics both from the University of Auckland. He is also a Chartered Accountant. Matt joins BDO in February.
