EROAD Director appointment

EROAD has appointed Ian Whiting as an Independent Director following a director appointment process facilitated by SEQEL Partners.  

EROAD is an NZX and ASX listed is a hardware-enabled SaaS company delivering safety, compliance, sustainability and efficiency solutions for complex vehicle fleets.

Ian is an experienced company director and chief executive with extensive expertise in the development, governance, and international expansion of enterprise and vertical-market software businesses, including strategic leadership, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation.  

Ian began his career in accounting and auditing before moving into the technology sector, where he became a part-owner of a software business that grew to more than 350 employees prior to a successful exit. He subsequently held senior leadership roles in software organisations across North America and Europe, gaining significant experience in global markets.  

He later led an Australian software company serving the automotive aftermarket and electrical wholesale sectors, which was acquired by Constellation Software. During his tenure with Constellation, he played a key role in growing a portfolio of software businesses across multiple jurisdictions, significantly expanding both profit and revenue.  

Ian is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia), a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and holds a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology.
