Evolution Healthcare appoints Andrea Lawton as Chief People & Culture Officer

Evolution Healthcare has appointed Andrea Lawton as Chief People & Culture Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Evolution Healthcare is a leading private healthcare provider with a diverse portfolio including six hospitals, four day-surgery facilities, one maternity hospital, and five rehabilitation-focused businesses. The company is under the ownership of long-term infrastructure investors QIC, Australian Retirement Trust, and Te Pūia Tāpapa and employs circa 1,300 staff.

Andrea is an experienced Chief People Officer. She joins Evolution Health from Carters where she is the CPO. Prior to that Andrea was the Deputy Chief Executive People Culture and Strategy for the Ministry of Social Development and Group HR Director with Fonterra. She has led multiple organisational people strategies, delivering initiatives that strengthened culture, enhanced employee engagement, and developed leadership capability across the business. With a strong background in human resources, Andrea has also led significant programmes in workforce planning, talent acquisition, organisational development, and wellbeing.

Andrea holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts both from Victoria University of Wellington. She is also a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. Andrea commences with Evolution Healthcare on Monday 1st December.
