Farmlands Co-operative appoints Rachel Aldikacti as Chief Sales Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.
Farmlands is a New Zealand based co-operative operating in the rural supplies and services sector. The business was established over 55 years ago, with the aim of providing competition in the rural retail supply sector to reduce farmers’ input costs. Today, Farmlands has an extensive network of 82 stores across the country and transacts more than $2.6 billion annually.
Rachel is a highly experienced sales executive with a background predominantly in the agri-food sector. She also offers a strong appreciation for the rural sector, having grown up on a beef farm and currently running a small family beef growing operation. At present Rachel is General Manager A/NZ & Export at Groenz, the NZ brand and sauces division of Golden State Foods, where she is accountable for optimising sales, operations, procurement, finance, marketing, and food safety & quality of the 100+ employee business.
Previously, she spent nine years in increasingly senior sales mandates with Bidfood, New Zealand’s largest foodservice wholesaler with revenues of $1.2 billion, culminating in time as GM Sales & Business Development. This gave her overall accountability for driving growth across the full sales function of circa 400 staff. Rachel built her sales skills through an earlier career in companies including Telecom, Goodman Fielder, and Fonterra.
She commences with Farmlands in mid May.
