FMG appoints Kim Grooby as Chief Claims Officer

FMG has appointed Kim Grooby as Chief Claims Officer after an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Kim has broad experience in executive-level business leadership across Claims, business transformation, change portfolio management and technology. Kim cares deeply about building an organisation’s ability to consistently achieve its goals and deliver great experiences and value to its clients.  Kim has spent the majority of his career to date operating in the insurance sector, including working for Suncorp and IAG. 

Kim has a strong experience base across areas such as change management, process development and problem solving, as well as possessing an excellent understanding of technology in an insurance context gained from his various roles which include: Executive Manager Business Transformation, Executive Manager Business Improvement Programme, General Manager Claims, Executive Manager Earthquake Strategy, Head of Strategy & Portfolio (Technology), Executive Manager NZ Programmes, Programme Director, Business & Change Consultant to name a few.

Kim commences with FMG, New Zealand’s leading rural insurance provider, in October and will report to the Chief Executive Adam Heath.
