Medtech Global Executive appointment

Medtech Global has appointed Dr Will Reedy as Chief Executive Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Medtech Global develops software that supports clinical workflows, electronic health records (EHR), patient engagement, data interoperability, and healthcare analytics. As the largest provider of tech solutions in New Zealand primary care, it is a central player in New Zealand’s health-tech ecosystem. Medtech is owned by the global software investor, Banyan Software.

Will is a highly accomplished health‑technology executive with more than 25 years of experience leading large‑scale digital‑health transformation across NZ, Australia, Asia, North America, the UK, and Europe. Most recently he was the Health and Life Sciences lead for Accenture NZ, acting as a trusted advisor to health systems and life‑science organisations.

Previously, Will served as CEO of Spark Health, New Zealand’s largest digital‑health services provider, where he led the organisation’s 10‑year health and wellness strategy. Earlier roles of note include time as the Chief Transformation Officer and Chief Clinical Information Officer for the NSW Ministry of Health in Australia, and a Strategic Advisor for healthAlliance in New Zealand.

Will holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Auckland and is a practicing doctor for the Auckland Region DHBS. He joined Medtech in June.
