Mercury Director appointment

Mercury has appointed Scott Scoullar as a Director following a Director search led by Scott St John, the Chair of Mercury, the Board, and SEQEL Partners. 

Mercury is a New Zealand electricity generation and multi-product utility retailer of electricity, gas, broadband and mobile telephone services.

Scott is an experienced business leader and director with deep finance, accounting, and commercial expertise across the public and private sectors.

He is the CEO of retirement village and aged care operator Summerset Group and serves on the board of both the Retirement Villages Association and the New Zealand Aged Care Association. His previous experience has included roles as CFO of Summerset Group, Housing New Zealand Corporation, and Inland Revenue. He has also previously served on the audit committee of The Treasury New Zealand, the risk and assurance committee of New Zealand Customs Service, and as a director of Wellington City Mission.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University of Wellington, and is a fellow of CPA Australia and a member of ICANZ and INFINZ.
