MercyAscot Appoints Ian England as Chief Executive Officer

MercyAscot, one of New Zealand’s leading private healthcare providers has appointed returning New Zealand hospital leader Ian England as Chief Executive.following an international executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners. MercyAscot Hospitals are owned by the broader Healthcare Holdings ltd.

Ian England has a background in hospital management in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. He is a former Chair of the NZ Private Surgical Hospital Association. Ian was most recently CEO of Acurity Health Group, and previously served as the General Manager for Uniting Care’s St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital based in Brisbane, Australia.

Ian England commences in the MercyAscot CEO positon in late September 2018
