Piritahi Alliance appoints Peter Stratford as Health, Safety & Environment Manager

The Piritahi Alliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Stratford as Health, Safety & Environment Manager following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Piritahi is an infrastructure and land development alliance made up of Kāinga Ora as Owner Participant and Non-Owner Participants Dempsey Wood, Hick Brothers, Tonkin & Taylor, Harrison Grierson and Woods Civil. It was established to carry out a $750m project in the Auckland region focused on improving wellbeing outcomes in a community by delivering over 3,500 higher quality public homes and new market / affordable homes over a five to eight year period. The programme also includes infrastructure renewals and upgrades, new infrastructure, and land development works.

Peter was previously the HSE Investigations and Transformation Lead for the Alliance, a role he has held since July 2021. Prior to joining Piritahi Peter held a number of senior HS&E roles including National Health & Safety Manager for OfficeMax, National HSE & Wellbeing Manager at the engineering and construction business AECOM, and National Health, Safety & Environment Manager for Fletcher Construction’s Housing division.

Peter holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from Massey University and various National Certificates in Occupational Health and Safety. He is also a Practioner Member of the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management.
