REST appoints Greg Lowe to the Powerco Board as an Independent Director

REST, a large Australian superannuation fund for retail employees, has appointed Greg Lowe as an Independent Director representing their interests on the Powerco Board following an executive search by SEQEL Partners.
Powerco is New Zealand’s largest electricity and gas distribution businesses with networks comprising 28,441 kilometres of electricity lines and cables serving 344,000 homes and businesses, and 6,200 kilometres of gas pipelines serving 112,000 homes and businesses across the North Island. Dexus manage the interests of REST in Powerco.
Greg is a highly respected leader in the engineering and consulting sector, with extensive experience in delivering complex and innovative projects across Asia-Pacific. He was previously CEO of the Beca Group, one of largest privately owned professional services consultancies in the region with 4000 staff based in eight countries and head quartered in New Zealand. I
Greg currently holds a number of Board Chair and Director positions in the public sector including Ferry Holdings, National Infrastructure Funding and Financing, Business NZ Energy Council, the ANZ Leadership Forum, Next Generation Critical Communications and the NZ Defence Advisory Council.
Greg is an Officer of the NZ Order of Merit, a Fellow of Engineering New Zealand, and holds a Masters degree in Engineering and a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland.
