The Comfort Group Appoints Kim Ellis as Chairman

Kim Ellis has been appointed Chairman of the privately owned Comfort Group following a search conducted by SEQEL Partners.
The Comfort Group is an iconic Australasian consumer products business which includes Sleepmaker, Sleepyhead and Simmons. With annual revenue of approximately $500m, the Comfort Group is an extensive organisation with manufacturing, distribution and retail sites across both New Zealand and Australia.
Kim brings extensive executive and governance experience to his appointment. He spent 28 years in Chief Executive roles in a number of sectors including 13 years as the Managing Director of Waste Management New Zealand Limited, until its sale in 2006 to Transpacifc Industries, and has developed businesses in both New Zealand and Australia. Kim is now a professional Director working across NZX listed, cooperative and privately owned companies. Kim is currently Chairman of NZ Social Infrastructure Fund Limited and Metlifecare Limited; and a Director of Port of Tauranga Limited and Balance Agri Nutrients.
