Vector is pleased to announce Fiona Michel has been appointed into the newly created executive role of Chief People Officer, following an Executive Search conducted by SEQEL Partners. Reporting to Group Chief Executive, Simon Mackenzie, Fiona will lead the People function and be a member of Vector’s Executive Team. The new role will drive the focus on aligning Vector’s People strategy to the company’s strategic direction of creating a new energy future.

Fiona is a leading Human Resources practitioner with 20+ years’ experience in Human Resources leadership, change management and large scale transformations. Fiona joins Vector from Auckland District Health Board where she held the role of Chief Human Resources Officer. Fiona is also a Non Executive Director of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI). Previous roles include Deputy Chief Executive, People for the New Zealand Police, Head of Culture & Capability for the Bank of New Zealand and executive roles with IAG New Zealand and Australia.
